Linear Integration

Create Linear issues from user feedback automatically.

Pro Plan Required

Workflow integrations require a Pro plan or higher. Upgrade your plan to enable this feature.

Overview

The Linear integration creates issues in your Linear workspace when users submit feedback. Route issues to the right team and optionally assign them to a project.

What you can do:

• Auto-create issues from feedback
• Route issues to specific teams
• Optionally assign to a project
• View linked issues directly from FeedValue

Prerequisites

• FeedValue Pro plan or higher
• Linear account
• Permission to install apps in your workspace
• At least one widget configured in FeedValue

Setup

Step 1: Navigate to Integrations

1. Open your FeedValue dashboard
2. Go to Settings → Integrations
3. Click Add Integration

Step 2: Connect Linear

1. Select Linear from the integration list
2. Click Connect with Linear
3. You'll be redirected to Linear to authorize the app
4. Click Authorize

Step 3: Configure Your Integration

1. Select Team: Choose which Linear team receives issues
2. Select Project (optional): Assign issues to a specific project
3. Select Events: Choose when to create issues:
   • feedback.created - New feedback submitted (most common)

Step 4: Test the Integration

Click Test Connection to create a sample issue in your team.

Configuration Options

Issue Format

Created issues include:

Title: User feedback from [Widget Name]

Description:

• Feedback message
• Sentiment (if captured)
• User info (email, name if identified)
• Widget name
• Link to feedback in FeedValue

Labels: feedvalue label is automatically added

Troubleshooting

"Team not found"

If you don't see your team:

• Check that you're a member of the team
• Verify the workspace is correct
• Try disconnecting and reconnecting

"Failed to create issue"

1. Check the Delivery Logs for error details
2. Verify your Linear permissions haven't changed
3. Ensure the team still exists
4. Check if you've reached issue limits

"OAuth error during setup"

• Ensure you have permission to install apps
• Try in an incognito/private browser window
• Check that your Linear account is active

"Project not available"

• The project must belong to the selected team
• Archived projects won't appear
• Try selecting no project, then reconfigure

Managing the Integration

View Created Issues

See all issues created from feedback:

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Click on your Linear integration
3. Select View Logs

Each log entry shows:

• Created issue identifier
• Link to issue in Linear
• Creation timestamp

Change Team or Project

Update configuration:

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Click on your Linear integration
3. Update team or project
4. Save changes

TIP

Changing the team affects new issues only. Existing issues remain with their original team.

Pause Issue Creation

Temporarily disable without disconnecting:

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Toggle the integration to Inactive

Disconnect

Remove the integration entirely:

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Click on your Linear integration
3. Click Delete Integration

WARNING

Disconnecting does not delete issues already created in Linear.
